SHELBY & ED

Back in June I was invited to the wedding of two dear friends - Shelby and Eduardo- whom I studied architecture with at the University of Florida. It was quite a reunion for many of us who had not seen each other since our Spring '08 graduation. Many had their SLR cameras on hand and I know the newlyweds got their hands on scores of pictures beyond the thousands taken by the hired photographers (which were really beautiful, I might add).

Here are a few I managed to snap between cake and cocktails.

MORGAN

Originally from Maine, Morgan is a young actress currently residing in San Diego, and I had the pleasure of helping her with new headshots. Recently, Morgan participated in Sony Pictures' promotion for The Green Hornet at Comic-Con 2010, working as one of the beautiful Green Hornet girls (check out more photos under the July 29th posting).

GREEN HORNET PROMO: COMIC-CON 2010

MORTON IMAGES made its' first official press appearance last month at Comic-Con 2010 in San Diego as part of Sony Picture's promotion of The Green Hornet (2011). I was fortunate to get up-close and personal with star cast members Seth Rogen (Superbad, Pineapple Express) and Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds), as well as director Michael Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), producer Neal H. Moritz (Prison Break, I Am Legend), and writer Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express).

SOUTH LAKE RETAIL CENTER

MORTON IMAGES was asked to contribute an additional render for the South Lake Retail Center, one of the four Studio Shift proposals for development in Miyi County, China. We were keen on capturing the interior of the rock climbing facility, and with opportunities for publication looming we jumped right into it. World Architecture News has already gotten ahold of it and featured the project on the front page of their website HERE.

JAYME

I was privileged to take some headshots for my good friend Jayme Ratzer. Jayme recently returned from Sundance Film Festival after starring in Adam Bowers' debut comedy feature "New Low." These shots were taken up near the famous Bronson bat caves in Hollywood.

EAST 5TH HUB

MORTON IMAGES recently contributed three renders for the East 5th Hub retail outlet design by Decon Group and Studio Shift. The store features the work of renowned clothing and denim designer Kevin Chen of MEK Denim. East 5th Hub outlets are set to open in Texas and California in early 2010, while more locations are soon to be adapted nationwide.
